Join the Network

The Ignite Bristol Network is a cross-sector collaboration aimed at individuals and organisations from the disability, sport, health, and education sectors who work with Disabled people. We will hold events and forums to tackle issues, support one another and share best practice. 

From volunteers to CEOs, coaches to GPs, teachers to care workers, or just anyone who wants to make a difference, join our collective journey to ignite Bristol’s potential.  

What to expect?

By joining the Ignite Bristol Network you will be expressing your support to make a difference. 

As a co-created group, Ignite Bristol Network will be shaped by the needs of its members. Initially, there will be a focus on:

  • Networking Events

  • Calendar of training opportunities delivered by local partners and groups

  • Regular communication through e-newsletters

  • Compilation of Inclusive Activities Directory - online and in-print

  • Sub-groups to focus on specific areas or issues deemed important to members

Who's Involved?

Members:

Example members include:

  • Local Disabled people and/or their parents/ carers

  • Disability Sector e.g.

    • Pan-impairment and impairment specific Disabled People’s Organisations (DPOs)

    • Local parent carer groups

    • Local council disability support services

  • Sport Sector e.g.

    • Professional football and rugby club foundations

    • National Governing Body regional representatives

    • Community sport and physical activity clubs

    • Leisure facility providers

  • Health Sector e.g. GPs, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, social prescribers

  • Education Sector e.g. school, higher education and further education representatives

  • Other e.g. local council, voluntary sector organisations, short breaks providers, youth support groups and providers

Steering Group:

The Network is a co-created group with shared ownership and responsibility.  Members are asked to self-nominate to form a steering group that ensures diverse representation and sustainability. You can input ideas, raise issues or suggest discussion topics through regular events or by emailing info@ignitebristol.co.uk
